Meramec Bluffs Wetland Mitigation Bank

Meramec Bluffs Wetland & Riparian Mitigation Site – The project began in 2007 with the development of a banking instrument, onsite vegetation study, archaeological survey and delineation of jurisdictional water bodies.

Initially, a 17 acre riparian corridor was restored to satisfy a MoDOT impact.  In 2015, a wetland bank application was filed in an effort to restore the balance of the site and, when fully restored, will have approximately 23 wetland credit acres available to mitigate impacts for developers, municipalities, and public entities  for wetland impacts in the Meramec Watershed.
